TenTec items for sale:

TenTec 585 Paragon HF transceiver
This rig covers 160 thru 10 meters, including the WARC
bands. It has a general coverage receiver, that includes
SSB, CW, and AM. An optional FM adapter is available
for it. Of course it has digital readout, memories, scan,
dual VFOs, PBT, notch filter, etc. It has an extremely
effective "Jones filter" to allow varying the passband,
and its location in the spectrum. It has up to 100 Watts
output, that can be adjusted down to milliwatts for QRP
use, if desired. This particular unit works 100% and looks
really great. Big inch thick manual is included. TenTec
sells these used for $795. This one is just as nice, but
is only $650.

TenTec 299 Voice synthesized frequency read out
This unit is used with the TenTec Omni 546 series A, B, C,
some Argonauts, Corsair, and others. It will work with
other rigs (such as the Triton), with minor mods to get
the right connections.
The 299 is used primarily for blind hams who can not read the
frequency readout on the transceiver. By pushing a button, it
will "speak" the frequency (to tenth of a KHz). A front panel
switch permits selection of the entire frequency, or you can
eliminate the MHz, and give only the KHz. There is also a
volume control on the front panel.
Of course it can also be used to give a "voice digital readout"
to any rig with an analog dial, or used a normal frequency counter.
This particular unit is in great shape electrically. Cosmetically
it looks very nice, but has some very minor wear. $ 190

Prices do not include shipping from Florida.

Thanks.

73,

Ken, W8EK
