Good info from Gary.  Just a coupla more notes.

If you plan to use the internal keyer and an external keyer/key at 
the same time,
you can go inside and solder a wire between the Keyer Out & Key 
jacks.  This will
NOT allow you to use an amp.  I soldered this wire in place on my 
Corsair II in 1987
per advice from Ten Tec.

Using the spot function is very hard, if not impossible to do with 
your filters set to narrow.
Set the BP Filter (audio filter) fully CCW, & set xtal filter switch 
to #3 position (wide), & tune
for zero beat.
