[TenTec] Omni 6 Birdies

Don,
  Every radio I own has birdies, including the Icoms, Yaesus; and yes, my  
Model 564 and 566...  
  The birdies on the 6+ are mostly not audible with the antenna connected, why 
would I butcher on my radio to cure that?
   
  So, I agree with others, retorque the screws and use your free time to work 
on things that are actual problems...
