I don't know any specifics for the LDG internal Orion tuner.  Buit I am
quite familar with the LDG AT-200PC tuner.  This tuner has built in memories
that allow all the tuner settings to be saved by frequency.  There are
several thousand memory slots to save the tuner settings.  The slots are
spaced closely at the lower frequencies and are spread more widely at the
higher frequencies.  This allows the slots to be very optimized by
frequency.  Once you have tuned the tuner on a particular frequency, that
setting is saved in the appropriate memory slot.  My N4PY program keeps
track of what frequency slots are saved in the tuner.  When you return to a
frequency, this slot can be used to restore the frequency setting without
the need to transmit.  This makes the AT-200PC and ideal external tuner to
use with many radios and my N4PY software.
