[TenTec] Question on Omni VII

Regarding the Omni VII and internet mode.

I'd like to know if I can just have the rig on
and if I want to connect to it remotely the rig will
allow me to connect and transmit/receive - or do
I have to remember to leave it in some remote mode
before I leave the shack?
