Many are confusing the term "open source" with free software. "Open source"
means the source code to create the software is available for anyone to
modify and make changes they want. The free software previously mentioned
in the reflector is free but the source code is privately held with the
author and all changes must be done by the author. There is a big
difference here. The one plug program for the Omni VII done by tentec is
open source and free. Anyone can download the source for this program and
make personal changes. Examples of free software that is not open source
are HRD, N1MM, and DXLabs.
