There is an SSBRTTY.DAT file that allows you to define the digital area inside the CW area. Defining this file properly addresses the exact issue you are talking about.

I vote for another column of buttons like those for CW SSB and SWL.
Maybe call it Digtl for digital. Instead of a freq. range like the
others, it would just take a point - like 14.070. Or....it seems to
me when the program was first designed. modes where well defined. You
had your CW portion and your SSB portion. But now, the CW portion can
be split with an island of Digital Mode in the middle. Problem is,
when you key in the frequency and it is in the middle of the CW
min/max frequencies, the mode jumps to CW.

So it looks like the logic has to be reworked a little to allow for
the split and provide the same clear graphics. Like the CW portion of
40M in green tic marks up to a defined "bottom" of a digital segment,
then another color for the digital segment (or special tic mark if
single frequency) up to the digital Max for that band, then the tic
color changing back to CW green (or is it blue).

My point is - instead of different band modes living side-by-side
with non-overlapping start/finish points, now you have modes spliting
the band segment of other modes - like CW and digital modes/segments.
It would be great if a new version addressed that in the frequency
display and "convenience" buttons.

Paul
