Yesterday I had asked a question about a higher than normal SWR on 40
meters with my 422 amp.
It seems that the SWR was only between the rig and the amp.
I received several comments and very good information. Thank you all.
Most of the comments told me to check the length of coax between the rig
and the amp. It seems TT wants about 10 foot.
I added about 3 1/2 foot of coax to the coax going to the amp and that
did it!! Now the SWR is very low on 40 meters and all other bands.
I had not given much of a thought to the coax length as this amp
replaced a Drake L7 which I had not problems on the input.
Thanks for saving me the money for a new board (which I did not need)
and the trouble of replacing it.
