i suppose the Orion is much simpler in regard to keying. set it on CW
and it runs standard QSK.

PS: since i only operate CW, i have never hooked a mike to my radios. i
know that they have excellent SSB as my nephew only operates that or
PSK31 and has used my second Orion in those modes.
