Hi John,

RIGtalk emulates a serial port.  I had my OMNI VI hooked up before to an older 
computer with a serial port.  Now I'm using a "less old" Dell laptop without a 
serial port.  So, the RIGtalk plugs into a USB port and you connect a cable 
from it to your radio for rig control, automatic logging of frequency and such. 

That's the gist of it.
