I find cotton more comfortable, because I'm allergic to polyester. And
some polyester treatments cause me to have an odor about three hours
into the day starting with clean clothes. My nose says about 10% of the
population has that reaction, smelling like having been digging ditches
by hand for a week in the same clothes.

There are better fabrics for standing up to flame and arc flash,
required by OSHA for electricians these days.
