Just a few observations after nearly three days with a new OMNI VII purchased/ordered at the Dayton Hamvention (last weekend). Receiver - WOW! lots of flexibility with filter / bandwidth, attenuation/preamp combinations. Transmit - bandwidth / roll-off, mike gain, and speech processing provide DX punch. QSK with Titan 425, outstanding! Driving the seven band - memory lines of the Model 253 Auto Ant Coupler; easy using Commander's (DXLab Suite) devices and computer parallel port. And DUH!..... remember to turn OFF the "Monitor" function to avoid feedback on transmit in voice modes. 73, Gary - AB9M |
