The casting rod is the way to go - 2-3OZ weight, nice nylon line, and then haul
up a heavier cord.  The nylon slides through the branches better than cord.


BTW, if you miss the exact place that you want, besure to let the weight drop
to the ground and untie it.  Those weights love to swing around branches!

The rubber tubes on the slingshot always seem to break,  but the sling shot
is better than a casting rod if you are up in a tree trying to work a loop 
through
one tree to the next. (tie your climbing harness to the tree before trying to
use the sling shot Hi)
