What I really do not like is the time delay for filament heating.  I have 
several "instant on" 811,572,3-500z amps, but I really like the 3cx1500 amps I 
have. There is a 2-3 min delay but the amps loaf at legal limit.  We Engineer 
types know that electronics is full of compromises

I think that's what I want is no tune band switching and tubes would be 
fine with that .  John kb2huk
