I have two Orion IIs that I run SO2R with. Since I only run about 40-50
watts to drive my amps they never even get warm to need a fan. However,
during RTTY contests I do run fans just to be safe. At 100 watts on RTTY
contests you must run a fan.

I have a fan on the back of both my Omni VI+ and my Corsair II.Probably not
needed about %99 of the time, but if I contest with them I like to keep them

cool.

Those of you that run Orions, do you use a fan on the heat sink? Do you feel

that one is necessary? It does make the front to back length greater and in
my case I do not have a lot of extra room in back of the rig.

Thanks for any replies.
