[TenTec] Orioin 565 and the Elecraft P3 Panadapter?

Has anyone put these two together?

The P3 is awfully neat - I've played with one at a friend's.

The one drawback I see is that it doesn't read the Orion frequency, so 
it's a bit clunky to figure out what you're seeing.

I understand that it may be possible to get that (frequency) information 
from the Orion to the P3. Has anyone done it?
