 It would be interesting to see how much trouble it would be to develop a 
driver board for the existing display using a pic processor.
using the pic from All Things Digital would solve most of the problem; driving 
the display would be next. Personally, the display in the Corsair is nicer to 
look at than an LCD screen. IMHO.

I see them offered by several UK suppliers, but haven't yet attempted to 

purchase one. That would be the "proof of the pudding"!
