Fred,
Unless your Omni D puts out only 1 watt it is not a 2n3866. The 2n3866
is a 1 watt transistor that is popular at VHF/UHF frequencies. I would
think the manual that came with the Omni D would have a schematic which
would show the finals. It is probably something like a pair of MRF454s.

Hi Fred,
Just out of curiosity.
What is the type number of these transistors.  Is it 2N3866 because I am
looking for the same final amplifier transistors for my Omni-D.
If I am wrong on the part number can you correct me please.  I also need to
know where to get some, or if indeed you did find them at RF parts as
previously mentioned earlier in a post.

Thanks......... Barry     KA8ENC

Anyone know if the original final transistors are still available, or
what a good sub is?.. Fred
