We know Mr. John Henry frequently monitors the list, and I see no reason Ten-Tec should deploy additional personnel to accomplish the task. I presume Mr. Henry, or any other company man who monitors this reflector, is able to convey what he hears to the parties who need to know.

I personally confirm Ten-Tec is concerned about customer satisfaction. Recently, John Henry contacted me directly to respond to a brief, offhand remark I had had made. He provided a thoughtful, and forthright explanation of the situation. I was impressed by the sincerity and depth of concern manifested thereby. I don't think it couldn't get any better.

Concerning the Corsair logic board, I am confident Ten-Tec is aware of the project. I offer two other observations:

First, I doubt many manufacturers are willing, or able, to support all its products indefinitely, as the cost of doing so, and the inability to obtain certain key parts, and other factors, make doing so impracticable. I would not disparage TenTec because it has decided it will not, or cannot, support a particular rig forever.

Second, and important feature of ham radio is the operator's ability to improvise, innovate, and experiment, and maintenance projects like this are not uncommon. I am impressed with how inventive operators share their discoveries, inventions, and innovations with operators - gratis. This project exemplifies the highest ideals of amateur radio, and I doubt the producer of this replacement logic board will realize any profit from it. This amateur radio innovation and cooperation at its best !

I was so caught up in the enthusiasm, and so wanted to see the project succeed, that I nearly ordered one, myself - and I will never own a Corsair !

Nothing herein is intended to be critical of your question.
It is just MY take as an answer.

Happy Trails.

I have a question that some of you may be able to answer. Does TenTec
monitor this list? I sometimes see a post by John Henry so I think he may
monitor the list but does anyone else at TenTec look at the list? How about
the TenTec service department? I ask this question because I wonder if they
are interested in things such as the Corsair II Display Logic Board? Since
they can't get the programmed U10 chips for the original board to repair the
Corsair Ii, do they refer people to this list? Are they interested in our
opinions about old or current equipment? Curious minds want to know!
