I have modified both my Orion I and Omni 7 with Power Pole connectors...
While I was doing this, I looked closely at the little fuse holder and 
personally I don't think they are too stout current wise...so I pulled the 
fuse holders, installed jumpers and installed standard automotive blade 
holders and fuses in the dc line going to the power poles.
