Hind site is usually 20 20 vision. Hard to make predictions but can give you an 
idea on what possible to expect.

Try http://www.arrl.org/w1aw-bulletins-archive/ARLP018/2011 see if you can 
subscribe to bulletins emaied to you. I get them. At the bottom of the archive 
are all sorts of references. You can all ways email K7RA and ask him a question 
or two, he is very nice person and is glad to help.

I use http://spaceweather.com/ a lot.
