I decided it would be nice not to have to modify the CorsairII knob when 
replacing the PTO with my DDS unit, so I made up a shaft adaptor; it 
slips over the encoder shaft, and has stepped diameters to accept the 
dial skirt and the knob without any modification. I made it out of some 
old switch bushing plus a couple of pieces of spacer tubing. I just 
added 3 photos of it to my web page:

Anyone with a model-making lathe would be able to make a much neater 
job; I resorted to clamping the bush in my pillar drill and "turning it 
down" by attacking it with a file whilst it was rotating!!
