Flaky C-31 is a very common occurrence. You might try some contact cleaner
down inside it and rotate it back and forth to scrub it. If that doesn't
make it smooth, it needs changing.
Very important: Make certain you put all the mass term connectors back
exactly where there were. The ones along the front edge of the logic board
and the ones on the left-central interior of the board, in particular.
Its not a difficult job if you're careful about this.
