The 3-500's are all made in China. Different companies put their name on them 
RF 
parts,Taylor all the same tubes. This was told to me by a company that sells 
them. Also I was told as long as you burn them in you really do not need 
matched 
tubes anymore.

Well, a fair question...but the Centurion uses two 3-500 tubes.

MY question would be: Are any *decent* 3-500s still available -- other 
than the Chinese imports (or getting lucky at the e-place)?
