Yes, the chip computes the difference between the real and displayed frequency and displays an offset amount to correct for any band crystal errors. If you want the frequency to display correctly, you must use the chip.

MIDCARS at 7.258 is hear best on 7.258.11

Same thing on WWV at 10.000.

So, anyone knows were that correction is made?
