Jerry, that answer is incomplete.
What were you matching?

Example:  My 80m dipole has high SWR in the 75m portion of the band.  I can
use the tuner and match it, running 1.5KW.
BUT if my 80m dipole is feed with openwire and I'm trying to match it on
40m, I'll probably have to cut my power back considerably.
ALL TUNERS WORK LIKE THAT.

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU ARE MATCHING, GENTLEMEN!

I use the 253 with a Centurion 422b at full KW.....no problem.
