Could it possibly be a dirty receive antenna switch.  Clean and exercise the
switch on the rear of the rig.  That's the switch above the main SO-239 antenna
jack and below the RCA receive antenna jack.

I have an OMNI V that had some Lightning Damage. Only minor repairs
(by Ten-Tec) were required.
After a couple of months worth of operation...some new symptoms have arose. 1.
The receiver cuts in and out, anywhere from no reception, reduced reception to
overload. 2. These symptoms are accompanied by transmitter problems, no-output
or output needs to be re-tuned at the ant. tuner. This is not an antenna
problem, I put another rig on-line and it worked fine.
Any thought of what the problem might be? Thanks, Tim
