Jeff, even that is not good enough unless you are running the test on the
right day at the right time.
Most radios perform well most of the time, as long as the bands are not
over-crowded with California Kilowatts.

I tested my K3 and my Eagle against each other during CQWW DX CW in 2010.
If there is any place you're going to see a difference, it's there.
Well I couldn't see any noticeable difference.  Both rigs were great.
(So I sold the K3!).

No, best is an Antenna Multicoupler and listen to multiple radios
simultaneously.
