Mike,
You are welcome. I regret that I cannot locate the document where I originally
saw the reference to Corsair / Corsair-II having ANZAC receiver design and
later commentary on later TEN-TEC receiver design being changed to avoid
Copyright or similar legal issues.
You may find http://corsair.wikidot.com/start ,
http://tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=561 and
http://www.w7kf.com/Articles/Rigs/TenTecCorsair2.html as good places to find
details, mods, or great pictures.
Also see http://www.csm-gh.com/AB9M.htm for pics of my station two of which are
on the TenTec Community (http://www.tentec.com/pages/Community-Photos.html)

Gary,
Thanks! My mistake was googling "anzac receiver design" and of course got
nothing useful.

The ANZAC mixer is a commonly used where a double balanced mixer is
required. The Corsair / Corsair-II receiver MAY have used a mixer similar in
design to one of ANZAC's....
Google (ANZAC mixer)...

There have been several references recently to "AZNAC" (or is it "ANZAC"?)
receiver design. Can someone please give a short review? I tried google
but got no useful results.
Thanks and 73

Did the original Corsair employ the "AZNAC" design?
I read that the original Corsair used 4 discrete Schottky diodes in the
mixer and that the Corsair II used 4 monolithic Schottky diodes in the
mixer.
Also, looking at the Sherwood Receiver Test Data on the web, I see it only
lists data for the "Corsair" which would I would assume is the original
version (?).
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
