Carl,
If the Eagle has a USB port, and a computer has a USB port, why is a driver
for the Eagle required to make its USB port appear as a serial port? Just
curious.

The Eagle has a USB port and does not need a USB to serial converter.
But the Eagle does require a driver that makes the Eagle's USB port appear
as a serial port.
This driver is on the old tentec website but where is that now?
