The Corsair II was built before stereo headphones were widely used
by the amateur community. So... we decided to see if we could replace
the mono jack with a stereo one, appropriately wired, etc. We bought
a likely item and opened up the radio. It turns out the jack needs to have
a rectangular profile and have an extra long threaded 'neck' to get
through the outer panel. I didn't find anything like that in my old
Mouser catalog, etc. Has anyone tried this mod? If so, where did
you find the jack?
Yes, I know I can build up a mono to stereo cable/jack/plug to do the
job but that is something to forget when setting up in the field. (In fact
I have already made up one).
