There was a small change to the final amplifier circuitry in later years,
the effect being a bit cleaner transmitter, but the most significant changes
were firmware upgrades which are readily available to be downloaded and
installed. Note that the very latest software upgrade (v. 1.037) is not on
the Ten Tec site, but was uploaded by the programmer to the Yahoo Groups to
correct a small error in handling remote operation CW using macros. The
previous version (1.036), which is what the last production run of Omni
VII's were equipped with, was significant in that it dramatically improved
remote operation of the Omni in SSB modes.

Hi:

I have a chance to get an Omni VII AT, serial number 07C10628. I think it is
from 2007. Are there any factory mods in newer transceivers?
