With a single conversion design, there’s not a lot of ‘hiss’ to a triton VI.
That’s why they sound great, and you can listen for hours without an ear full
of noise
Many of the newer radio have one or two preamps. The Triton VI has none. Just a
dual gate MOSFET on the front end.
Unless it’s really deaf, I’d bet there’s nothing wrong with it.
