Yes, the cost would be prohibitive.
Let’s see if he can share what his original issue was. Dead is bad, but some
other parts CAN fail on the board leaving the thing partially working (and
possibly repairable).
Alternately, W8EK, on QTH is selling an Orion. He’s a decent guy, maybe a bit
optimistic on his pricing…
