[TOEC] Scandinavian Cup - Final version of comments

With pleasure I notice that the heat is increasing already now for next SAC!

Competition is always stimulated with a little rivalry and teasing, but
please keep in mind that no matter how pleasant it is to win a contest,
there should always be space for gentlemanlike and humble approach towards
competitors.

Even if we Swedes are waiting for a long deserved victory in the battle
between nations, I think that the pleasure of a possible victory is better
in case a victory is undisputed. I mean that even if OH0 officially is
counted as a separate DXCC-country, we should try to be humble and realize
that it perhaps in this national competition can be calculated in a
different way. Let us discuss that at a round-table discussion and make it
absolutely clear until the next SAC.

For me personally, a victory for SM would feel tremendously much better if
we could beat OH combined with OH0 and OJ0. To win just because of
modifications of geographical regions afterwards will only cause discussions
over and over again. Make rules for the national cup clear and impossible to
question - and we will avoid stupid twisting of rules and opinions.

Despite the long history of Finnish victories, all chances exist for SM to
break this pattern in the future. This of course that necessary efforts are
made from each participating person or club.

After all - OH0 is possibly only belonging to OH in the contest. Thanks God
that Russia handed it back to Scandinavia in 1809 - otherwise both Finland
and Sweden would have had enormous difficulty in winning Scandinavian Cup.
UA would have been the winner all years since the start of the contest ;-)

Keep up the heat and get ready for the next battle of 2007 and remember that
we must also try to stimulate the activity by the other Scandinavian
countries, so we do not end up with only a Swedish-Finnish event... That is
even more important than deciding who is the winner of Scandinavian Cup with
or without OH0!
