- 15/11 ROTUMA; 3D2P or 3D20R 
A team of 'PACIFIC DXERS', have 'ALL PERMITS' in place and are 
planning to sail for Rotuma early October 2011 and operate for 3 
weeks. The team so far consists of: Eddie/3D2A/VK4AN, Rocky/3D2DD, 
Bill 3D2(?)/VK4FW...others are pending. Most of the 3D2A equipment 
is in Fiji already. We are seeking expressions of interest from 
experienced CW/SSB/Digital mode operators and possibly a 6m 
enthusiast. A 6m beacon will be established on 50.095 MHz. Rigs so 
far include K3, Flex5000A, Emtron DX1b amp, FT-900, Spiderbeam, 
wire antennas, DX88 vertical. This will be the anniversary of the 
FIRST operation from Rotuma by 3D2A/VK4AN...original license was 
3D2XX/rotuma in 1988. The callsign has not been issued yet, but we 
expect to be issued with either 3D2P or 3D20R.

Puerto Rico's coat of arms was granted by the Spanish Crown in 
1511, which makes it the oldest currently used in the Americas. 
Celebrating this 500th anniversary, the Puerto Rico Amateur Radio

With the "Pacific DXers" postponing their DXpedition to Nauru (see 
C2 above), the group has reorganzied their first DXpedition 
to Tuvalu. Operators mentioned are VK4AN, VK4FW, VK4NEF, NL8F, 
K4ZLE and W5SL. Activity will be on all HF bands, 160-6 meters 
using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. They expect to have at least 3 
stations on the air with a dedicated station set up on 6 meters

from Sint Eustatius Island. His three week operation will also 
include the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as PJ5G. 
Activity will be on 160-6 meters using mainly CW and RTTY, but he 
will have a microphone with him just in case someone really needs 
a phone QSO. Operations will be with a focus on the lower bands 
and listening for JA stations during his sunset and sunrise. As 
always, he will be using his IC-706MK2G (this time with an amp) 
into an HF9VX for 80-6m and an inverted "L" (on a 15m fiberglass

Maarten (NA-105) respectively. He will also activate Tintamarre 
Island (NA-199) during the weekend as FS/F5AHO/P. Activity will be

He will operate mostly CW, RTTY and PSK31 with some SSB on 160-6
