[TOEC] Marketing of SAC 2013

Not very experienced answering to this forum/thread, but going to try and
hope that this ends up in the right place ..

Just one concern of mine, I haven't seen very much marketing within
Scandinavia. Maybe it's different in other countries? But except some posts
by Ingemar att ssa.se and an article in QTC magazine I haven’t seen or heard
much. Haven't heard that there been any invitation or info sent to
radioclubs where I'm a member, nor even heard about that kind of marketing.
Looking at the very few announcements made on the SAC webpage, I very much
hope that it isn't an indicator on the number of stations that will finally
participate.

What point is it if there are hundreds, say thousands and thousands of
stations all over the world that knows about SAC, if there's not very many
Scandinavian stations to work?

Just that I'm a little bit concerned that I don't hear much more about the
upcoming SAC event in Sweden.

73 / Best regards

Johan

What we did was to create an invitation letter and then translate it into
few languages (Russian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, German,
Portuguese etc) and mailed it not only to the national organizations but
also to contest clubs and individual contesters on each club page.

It was a hell of job, but it paid off (as we can see comparing statistics
from 2005-2010)
