Hi folks,
would like to know the results of others running low power in the
contest. Here is my summary:
Low-power aspects....
Due to the fact that I worked Mike/VK6HD about 2 weeks prior to the
contest running only 10 watts on my side I decided to give it a try
and participate in the low-power class... (5 watts).
Considering I was only able to *join the crowd* for about 8 hours
it was great fun!
With as little power as 5 watts I was rewarded with the following
DX-contacts:
EK6GC - 2976 km (called me)
4X4NJ - 2948 km (took me 14 mins to work Riki!)
OH8LAE - 2047 km (called me)
RK3DK - 1730 km
9H1BT - 1630 km (called me).
Quite a few more in the range between 1000...1500 km!
Thanks to all with the *big ears*! Making 104 qsos in total and
ending up with 708 points is not too bad...
Cu all agn next year in SPTDC! Hope the condx will be better then.
Watch out for those *weakies*. It might be DX - or me!
