Wind finally took a spring break here in KS and I deployed
my balloon vertical. Good conditions to Europe, more like
mid-winter than spring with low QRN.
Worked S59Z for a "new one" at 0354 utc after calling 30 min.
No luck with OE5KE who had a solid signal on 1.821.
Loud signals and easy QSOs with DJ7MI, ON4ANT and
numerous Gs. Heard many 7s such as N7EX in WA, KF7E
and KC7V getting through to EU.
EA8PP loud on 1.842 and worked in 3 calls with 100 watts
on SSB. No sign of ZS8IR...
