That morning UN5J was 449 at 12:50Z, just about our sunrise here in
Texas. What was surprising was that UN5J was louder than any of the
VK's.

The summer season seems to be getting ready to go out with a bang.
This morning VK3DQW worked a few NA stns from 1145Z on, then ZL4WA held
court for a while, and a fine signal from VK3AJJ. YB1AQS came up just about
where UN5J was expected to be, and VK6VZ was conducting business within
earshot of the frequency.
At least a dozen West Coasters were active, and some 0's and W5PS.
Quite a party, lasting to well after sunrise.
Oh! I forgot to mention that N7UA worked UN5J about 1318Z, rather earlier
than the UN5 usually becomes audible.
