VK6VZ was coming in about 569 this morning. He worked a number of
guys on 1829. No sign of 9M0C. I found them on 80 CW and they were
an honest S9 - many S-units above the noise... however, they didn't
seem to be hearing anyone calling (all I heard them work in the five
minutes was a JA). This was all between 1420 and 1435Z - about 40
minutes before sunrise.
Perhaps the noise was very bad and affected even 80 meters. I worked
them on Monday on 75 SSB with a much weaker signal.
The ZL beacons were coming in well this morning as well. Both the
beacons and VK6VZ were best on the dipole, almost not there at all
on the vertical.
