Boy, I love hauling all the gear 1000 miles to VE1 in order to find out that
"band is closed for the contest weekend"! But you gotta be there, just in case
miracle happens. C'est la radio vie!
For relatively narrow band, it would be nice if 160m gentlemen kept their
compressors at reasonable settings during the contests. It ain't pretty
picture if one is louder when is not talking. It is hard to decipher the call
through one's compressed fan noise and splatter.
Cowboy movies, big old cars, fine cigar and 160 - the finest there is!
Be there when it opens!
