Good point! Thanks for reminding us about the special feeling TopBand
can generate. I remember my first QSO with EA3VY like it was yesterday.
Jose was my very first European QSO, back when I thought it was probably
impossible from the WEST COAST.
This morning, I heard some strange acticity around 1829 kHz. Seemed
like someone was trying to work VE7BS and give him a 339 - except
the station was very strong. Never did figure that one out. Then
I heard a couple of stations calling, but nothing was heard. I
tuned down to 1826 or so, and hear a stations calling CQ JA.
Finally heard enough of the call and it was a C21 (I forget the
suffix). Called him up on 1910 and he came right back.
Something to keep an eye out for!
