A wire, as small as you like, works.
Since small wires breaks, and they do it in the worst moment, you
could limit the small wire to a section of the Beverage and not to
it's full length.
Upon the impedance view point nothing happens because the wire
distance from ground makes its diameter a negligible parameter.
