I had a 160m vertical out in the sea and I have to use 4 elevared radials with the ends going to floaters and holdig them tight with steel chain, The problem with just grounding them in the sea was that on high tide the resonant frq was changing apromaxly 60 khz up from the low tide frq. Change in sea level was 6-7 feet. With the elevated radials there was a 5Khz change. 73 Ken |
