Hi Ron
We are just completing a shipment of an amp to XQ6ET - in fact, he
sought to pick it up from the destination airport today, according to
mail I rx from him.
According, Bob should go from 100 w power to 800-900 w out on top band
very soon.
Maybe you and others will be able to work him on 160. Altho I note from
QSL card requests (which I am now doing for XQ6ET) that many have worked
him with his very modest setup in Chile on top band.
For your info, the amp and air freight were a donated gift from many
interested top banders including several who donated at the "top band
gathering" in Dayton recently. I know you attended this dinner several
years ago, and hoping that you enjoyed it.
Tks for your info regarding SA top band activity. I agree that CX1SI is
often active as are you most weekends. LU, CP, ZP are much rarer -
normally caught in contests.
