Necessity is the mother of invention. The gardner and I put together a long
bamboo pole knife and cut the offending palm frond away so I am back on 160.
Since I am not the spry tower climbing monkey I once was, I don't even attempt
to climb these 60 foot coco trees so I thought it would be a long time until I
got the antenna fixed but its going now with a 1.5:1 SWR...good enough for my
800 watts.
Since some of you are losing lots of winks looking for DU on 160 I will post
the days I am gone or off the air for any reason. Hope this is appropriate use
of the reflector.
A trip has suddenly come up and I will be gone from Monday to Friday next week
(6-10 Oct.)
See you this weekend.
