The long-line marlin fishing buoys off east coast VK bleep away from 1800 right thru 1900+, they are mostly 5watts into a 12' whip. That is why it is best to avoid nominal freq's like 1826, 1827 etc.. and use 1826.5 ; 1827.5 etc..
