Dave, etc.

I have found that a ground rod at each end needs some ground wire as well. I have been using about 8 each 16 foot radials spread out in a 90 to 120 degree fan off each end of the Beverage antenna in the direction away from the end of the wire. Seems to work well.

For a standard, single-wire terminated Beverage, I read recently
(either here or TowerTalk) about using 2 4-5' ground rods, but
I didn't understand if that was at the feedpoint or at the
termination end of the wire.
http://www.w8ji.com/beverages.htm mentions this as well,
and if I'm understanding right, Tom means 2 ground rods
at the termination point (?). Right now, I have a 4' rod
(8-footer cut in half) at each end, but wanted to improve
it a bit, and I'd just as soon improve the correct end. ;-)
Thanks!
