Hi reflectees !
This contest is fun, evem from this side of the pond !
Of course from Europe one can never compete with any of the US stations but
thats not intended. And by the different QSO count for EU and US a comparison by
the score is not usefull either. But the great number of US stations being
active gives very nice insight to propagation and its change thru the motion of
the magfield and sunrise zone. Its a hunting on the easy chair, everything goes
kinda slow and the number of stations is really limited. Another nice aspect
is, that almost nobody over here is CQing, knowing the band over there is
loaded with huge signals and timing is the only way to cut thru ! And i must
say that the vast majority of stations does reply after a few calls, of course
there is always a station that cant be raised, but in general they come back.
Patience and persistence is a good tool to have handy in this contest, if one
is participating from the "old world". I hope to throw in a few hours this
weekend, but i am on emergency call-out this wekend which makes everything a
bit uncertain.
May everybody have fun !! 73 de wolf df2py
